The Botanical Garden, an unique natural experience

This historic garden has 3.5 hectares filled with plants and flowers, together with waterfalls, fountains, streams, greenhouses and historic buildings that make it a unique and charming environment.

The Botanical Garden Malaga has more than 3,000 species of trees, plants and flowers from all around the world. Besides, there is a wide diversity of bird species around the park, so if you are an ornithologist this place is for you as well!

This marvelous garden was created by the Marquises of Casa Loring in 1855, a well-known family in Malaga. They purchased some ranches in the north of the city and started bringing back exotic plants from different countries all over the world since their honeymoon. It has an English style garden with over 3,000 species, some of them are over 100 years old.

Moreover, it has beautiful architectural elements such as the Palace-House, the house of the Cyprus trees, the Loringian Museum, a part of the San Telmo aqueduct and some bridges. For this reason, the Botanical Garden Malaga is considered an asset of cultural interest thanks to its historical-artistic garden.
